About Me

I’m Ryan Nichols, a filmmaker and graduate of Sydney Film School, with a background in Communications from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Screen and Media. Alongside filmmaking, I work across photography, videography, and broadcast camera operations, with a strong passion for capturing dynamic visual stories. Coming from a family of tech enthusiasts, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the tools and techniques behind great content. Whether it's a couple's first dance or the decisive moment in a tight game, I'm focused on the story happening in front of the lens.

Weddings

Your wedding day unfolds in fleeting moments — a glance, a laugh, a tear. I document the day as it truly happens: candid, warm, and unforgettable. From intimate ceremonies to large receptions, every detail is captured with care.

Sport

Sport is raw, fast, and full of stories. I work at the pace of the game to freeze the decisive moments — the winning shot, the exhausted celebration, the fierce concentration — with crisp, dynamic imagery that does justice to the effort on show.

Films & Productions

From short films to corporate productions, I bring a cinematographer's sensibility to every project. I work closely with directors and producers to deliver footage that serves the story — on time and with a professional finish.

Rehearsals

Conferences, launches, galas, community gatherings — events are investments worth documenting properly. I provide discreet, comprehensive coverage so you walk away with a complete visual record of the occasion.

Theatre & Table Reads

Stage productions live and breathe in low light and movement. I specialise in theatrical photography that captures the drama, the atmosphere, and the performers' craft — without disrupting the work in progress.

Staged

Rehearsal documentation is invaluable for directors, choreographers, and performers. I provide a quiet, professional presence that records the process — giving your team a visual record to review, refine, and reference.
